Arrow Valley, Redditch
Todays photo 101 challenge is water. I couldn’t choose a single photo as I have a couple from last weekend that I love!
Over the weekend, we went over to the in-laws in Redditch to look after their cat, Charlie.
The Saturday afternoon was a perfectly mild autumnal afternoon, so we took the monsters to the lovely Arrow Valley Country Park.
It brought back many memories for me of walking our dearly departed dog there many moons ago – before kids – when we lived in Redditch.
After letting the kids have a quick play in the playground, we set off for a walk around the lake.
It was so beautiful in the late afternoon sun, and the children loved going down to the lakeside to look at the ducks and geese and to see if they could spot any fish.
As we walked around (well Rachel cycled!) I enjoyed telling Jack about Ben and how we took him there and also about my mum.
Both children love the photo of mum and Ben that is in Rachel’s room and I was able to tell them that that photo was taken at Arrow Valley a few years ago, when Mum was looking after Ben for us.
All in all, it was a pleasurable afternoon, just the four of us, enjoying a chilled out stroll in the great outdoors.
“Water” – family time, lake, ducks, the great outdoors.
