Paper Plate Butterfly Craft
What you need:
How to do it:
Use your butterfly punch to cut out a handful of different coloured butterflies.
We used 5 different colours – yellow, beige, pink, green and purple.
You meed approximately 15-20 of your 4 main colours and one of your chosen accent colour.
Gently fold the butterflies down the middle – this is so the wings will stick out a bit when you glue them on.
Spread a thin layer of mod podge onto the centre of your paper plate.
Place your 4 main colours of folded butterflies onto the plate and gently press them down to affix to the glue.
Once the whole area is pretty well covered carefully glue your accent-coloured butterfly onto the plate – so it stands out from the rest.
Use a pencil to pierce a hole into the top rim of the plate and thread your ribbon through.
Tie into a knot and now you can hang your butterfly plate.
Want to make something more permanent? Cut out the butterfly-covered centre of your plate and glue onto a square of paper. Use some washi tape to cover the corners of the backing paper and then place into a box frame, making a lovely framed butterfly picture – worthy of hanging on your walls as a permanent feature or to gift to someone special!
