Chocolate cake pops
We made cake pops last year and decided it was about time that we tried again!
Ingredients
Chocolate Sponge Cake
130g sugar
130g butter
1 egg
130g flour
1tbsp cocoa powder
Buttercream
45g butter
100g icing sugar
1tsp cocoa powder
1tsp milk
150g Chocolate chunks/bar
Sprinkles
Firstly make your chocolate sponge cake and allow to cool.
While it cools, make the buttercream.
Crumble the cakes into the buttercream and mix into a dough.
Roll into balls and refrigerate for an hour.
Melt the chocolate.
Dip the pop sticks into the chocolate and spike them onto the balls.
Once they have started to harden dip the cake pop into the chocolate and then into the sprinkles.
Once the chocolate has set, then your chocolate cake pops are ready!
