I got myself a new blender, as my last one decided to give up a couple of months ago.
And what do you do with a new blender – test it out with all kinds of fun smoothie recipes for the family!
We are lucky that our kids really like their fruit and this is a great way to get them to have some of their recommended 5 – a – day.
Also whereas with other foods they can be quite fussy, with fruit they are keen to try new things. Recently Rachel has discovered pineapple and kiwi fruit and these are now her favourite fruits!
So here are 5 different recipes that we tried to suit everyone’s different tastes!
Raspberry and Kiwi
Add 6 raspberries to the blender cup.
Peel and chop a kiwi and add to the cup.
Top with apple juice.
Blend for 1-2 minutes.
Kiwi and Strawberry
Peel and chop 1 kiwi and add to blender cup.
Chop 5 strawberries and add to the cup.
Top with apple juice and blend for 1-2 minutes.
Add 6 chopped strawberries to the blender cup.
Top with milk and blend for 2 minutes.
