This month, Tots100 and Center Parcs have teamed up to challenge bloggers to get into the spirit of summer and make your own ice lollies.
As it is one of our rainy day activities as well, we decided to give it a go.
I have seen a lot of other great entries from bloggers using flavoured waters and squash and juice, so I wanted to do something a little bit different.
My two are big fans of chocolate and big fans of yoghurt and I do love a bit of frozen yoghurt too, so we decided to use yoghurt as the base for our lollies.
We happened to have some yoghurts in the fridge that we had bought the day before – you know the kind that has a side pot of something chocolatey to add to the yoghurt?!
These particular ones were vanilla flavoured yoghurt with chocolate hoops.
We mixed it up and added the yoghurt mix into a star -shaped mould that we had from making chocolate lollies a couple of months ago.
After freezing, the kids couldn’t wait to try them out.
And the verdict was thumbs up from both children!
Our favourite tip from Center Parcs ice lolly enthusiast, Deb Rogerson was :
- For a really quick and simple way to make delicious ice lollies, get some ice lolly sticks, stick them into your favourite yoghurt pots and pop them in the freezer. Remove the pot and voila – you have an ice lolly! Want to add some extra treats? Once frozen, dip the tips in melted white chocolate, then quickly dip them into your favourite topping. My favourite is hundreds and thousands!
